By way of introduction: I am a serious public affairs junkie.
More than just politics, I'm an avid follower of economics, business, social trends, partisan movements, polling and other political/social quantification work, political and social communications just to mention a few specify areas.
Yes. . . I am a chronic observer of and commentator on the world around me.
Just to make it worse, I tend to be indiscriminate about where I read about - local municipal, provincial, federal, international, US or any other level or place and I'm always keen to apply the lessons learned from one place to another.
