I found this on the BBC website, a photo reconstruction of the NL Regiment. I'm sure Ed will let me know if it's the real deal because I don't know enough to know

We have it good here in this fair province. We have a day where we can celebrate what these men died for and remember the sacrifice itself. These two things are inextricably linked and are two faces of the same coin.
